Disney Vacation Club members are about to get another great perk: Disney just announced that Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, is going to get its first member lounge.

Anticipated to open in the first half of 2023, the lounge will be called the Disney Vacation Club Star View Station. From what we can see so far, it's going to turn up the space-age theming and offer lots of "only here" photo ops and perks for a truly out-of-this-world lounge experience.

Walt Disney World already has two lounges for Disney Vacation Club members, but until now, Disneyland has played the forgotten Cinderella to the Florida resort. Some pixie dust, though, will transform the second floor of Tomorrowland's Star Wars Launch Bay building into a new, sleekly designed "space."

Although we don't have many details yet, visitors can expect a dedicated service team, plenty of comfortable seating in air conditioning (a seriously great perk on a hot day), device-charging stations and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Exclusive Disney Vacation Club member spaces are one of the perks of what Disney calls "Membership Magic."

These member-favorite locations at Walt Disney World are the Top of the World Lounge at the top of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and the perennially popular member lounge inside the iconic glass pyramid of the Imagination! pavilion at Epcot. That lounge offers included fountain drinks and a few packaged snacks ... as well as shelter from the rain and the Florida heat.

What is Disney Vacation Club?

Only Disney Vacation Club members and their guests will have access to the new Star View Station lounge at Disneyland. If you're not familiar with Disney Vacation Club, here's a quick primer.

Disney Vacation Club is Disney's more flexible take on the traditional timeshare. The points-based program allows you to purchase an end-dated real estate interest at select Disney resorts. Members buy a certain number of "vacation points" per year at a designated "home resort," and then use them to book stays at any of Disney Vacation Club's 15 locations across four states.

Eligible Disney Vacation Club members get access to a number of perks and discounts, called "Membership Extras." These include special events, such as Moonlight Magic at Walt Disney World, as well as access to special member spaces which, starting next year, will include the Star View Station.
