In addition to its four world-class theme parks, Walt Disney World is home to two water parks of the same caliber. Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park have the same level of theming and the exciting blend of thrilling and family-friendly attractions as Disney's other parks. Besides jumping into the pool at your Disney World hotel, there's no better way to cool off on a hot Florida day.

Though Disney has two water parks, only one is open at a time. Historically, Blizzard Beach is open in the fall and winter, and Typhoon Lagoon is open in the spring and summer. This year, for example, Typhoon Lagoon closes for the season Nov. 3, and Blizzard Beach will open Nov. 4.

A one-day ticket with no blackout dates to a Disney water park costs $74, which doesn't add a significant cost to your Disney vacation. However, Disney's newest deal will give you unlimited access to Disney's water parks through May 23, 2025, for only $5 more than a one-day ticket.

The Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass costs $79 plus taxes and gets you unlimited access to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach as many times as you wish through May 23, 2025. The only blackout dates are April 12 to 20, 2025.

If you purchase your Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass and have a trip coming up before Nov. 3, 2024, and another after (or you live close enough to visit whenever you wish), you could visit both of Disney's water parks during the season pass eligibility window.

Even if you only have one Disney trip planned this year, paying the $5 additional for the Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass means that in addition to spending a full day at one of Disney's water parks, you can come back once or twice for a half day or even only a few hours during your vacation without worrying about wasting money on another ticket.

Here's a closer look at the cost of a seasonal pass versus a one-day pass:

Speaking of not wasting money, there is also a way to get into Disney's water parks for free if you visit Disney World in 2025.

Guests arriving between Jan.1 and Dec. 31, 2025, can splash into one of Disney's water parks for free on their check-in day. Instead of waiting until the second day of your trip to start the fun, you can start as soon as you arrive at Disney. However, this perk is only available to guests staying at an official Walt Disney World hotel. You can learn more about this benefit on Disney's website.
