Delta Unveils First Boeing 777-200 Retrofit With Delta One Suites
Delta turned heads in August 2016 when it unveiled its new Delta One Suites. After TPG's Zach Honig checked it out on the ground and on a test flight, The Points Guy made sure to be in a Delta One Suite on the inaugural Delta A350 flight from Detroit (DTW) to Tokyo (NRT) to see if the suite was worth the buzz. He deemed the new suites a winner, despite some service quirks.
Now, Delta is in the process of retrofitting its 18 Boeing 777-200s with the new closing-door suites and Premium Select premium economy product. In a media preview event on Friday, Delta showed off the first of its refurbished 777s. This aircraft will start flying internationally between Detroit (DTW) and Beijing (PEK) on July 2, trading off with Delta's brand new Airbus A350 on alternating days.

Breaking from the 10-seat wide 777 economy trend that's swept up American Airlines and United, Delta is sticking with "customer-friendly nine-abreast seating" in economy:
