How to use the new Daily Drop Pro subscription service to find flight and hotel deals with cash or points
We're big fans of Daily Drop, the newsletter full of travel tips and deals on airline flights and hotel bookings. That's why we wanted to give you the heads-up on its newly launched subscription service, which is an excellent resource for finding and securing bargains on economy, business-class and even first-class flights.
Daily Drop Pro is designed to be an all-in-one portal that gives you access to the latest airline offerings based on your preferred departure city and travel preferences. For example, when I log in, I see the daily domestic travel deals out of Miami.

Scrolling farther down, I see the bargains available for international business-class travel.

Daily Drop says the two best ways to save money on travel are to let the deal determine the destination and to use points and miles to book trips. Its Pro subscription tier is designed to maximize both practices. For example, Daily Drop Pro subscribers get unlimited points and miles searches to find the best available redemptions. They also get cash deals emailed daily based on travel preferences. The site's wallet function lets you keep track of your points and miles. There is even a Pro Lounge — a private community with resources to help you as you seek out deals and what to do once you book your trip.
"Great travel deals aren't just for the lucky, we built the tool that makes dream travel possible for anyone," Megan Johnston, Daily Drop's community manager, said. "Plus, you become a part of an awesome community of travelers, so you never have to navigate the world of miles and points alone."
It's no secret that the travel information space is incredibly competitive. Daily Drop rivals include Going (formerly Scott's Cheap Flights), Point.me and, of course, Google Flights, which lets you use extensions like Points Path to search for award flights. The site says its customizable tools help it stand out from its competitors.

For example, you can tailor your deal preferences to narrow down the deal suggestions you receive, not just by selecting your departure airport but also by choosing the destination and the maximum price you want to pay.

The vast majority of the daily deals sent out are for travel at least a month or two down the line, so don't expect to have to scramble for a last-minute flight to take advantage of a low fare. For example, here's a recent deal I received for a business-class flight on Avianca from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport (CUZ) in Cusco, Peru. The deal is 40% off normal prices and for travel in August. The site also includes estimates for what it would cost to book using points.

Daily Drop Pro costs $149 per year. The site says its members have saved as much as 80% with some of the offers they've received, so taking advantage of just one of its offers could cover the cost of the subscription. One of the best perks that comes with the Pro membership is unlimited flight and hotel points searches. Subscribers can also add up to 10 departure airports in their settings for a much wider array of offers. And unlike the site's free Limited tier, there is no limit to the number of offers subscribers can get each week.
Sometimes, those offers can be incredibly good. For example, Pro subscribers recently received a deal alert to fly Emirates' iconic first class, with its individual suites, from Miami to Bogota, Colombia, for just 52,500 miles plus $106 in fees.

Another recent offering was a flight from Seattle to Paris on Air France for just 15,000 miles each way.

Johnston said no matter what your travel budget is, Daily Drop Pro will provide options to book an unforgettable experience. "We unlock life-changing travel experiences, no budget restrictions required," she said.
