There’s a high-earning travel card that you may not be familiar with yet — but after a recent refresh, it should definitely be on your radar.
The Wander® Card from Credit One Bank® earns cardmembers up to 10 points per dollar spent on eligible hotel stays and car rentals booked through the issuer’s travel partner. And with added features such as zero fraud liability and free online access to your credit score each month, you don’t have to worry that you’re sacrificing the health of your credit while earning travel rewards.
For those looking to travel internationally, the Wander Card also comes with zero foreign transaction fees.

Sign-up bonus
New cardmembers can earn 10,000 bonus points after opening a new account and spending $1,000 on eligible purchases with their new card in the first 90 days. Reward points can be redeemed for statement credit, gift cards or travel at a rate of one cent per point.
That’s $100 in value just from the sign-up bonus — and with a $95 annual fee, the card essentially pays for itself in the first year. Plus, you’ll also earn points from your $1,000 in eligible purchases.
The earning potential doesn’t end once you’ve met the minimum spending requirement to earn the sign-up bonus — it’s just the beginning.
Bonus spending categories
The Wander Card is truly a credit card designed with travelers in mind and has the bonus categories to prove it. Here’s a breakdown of the earning rates on purchases with the card:
- 10 points per dollar on eligible hotels and car rentals booked through the Credit One Bank travel partner site.
- 5 points per dollar on other eligible travel such as flights, dining and gas.
- 1 point per dollar on all other purchases.
This essentially offers you a return of at least 5% on all travel purchases, restaurant charges and gas fill-ups. But if you book your hotels and car rentals through a Credit One Bank travel partner, your rate of return on those purchases jumps to 10%.
Consider your spending on this card a deposit toward future travel — get rewarded for using your card for travel purchases now, and then use those rewards later for another trip.
Redeeming rewards
As noted previously, you can redeem your points from the Wander Card at a rate of 1 cent per point for a variety of rewards. But just how much can you get?
As a hypothetical, let’s say you apply for the card today and spend the $1,000 to earn the 10,000-point sign-up bonus. Then, by the end of your first year of cardmembership, you have spent the following:
- $500 in hotels and car rentals booked through Credit One Bank’s travel partner.
- $2,000 in other travel purchases.
- $2,000 in restaurant purchases.
- $1,000 in gas purchases.
- $5,000 on all other purchases.
When you include the sign-up bonus, that means you would earn a grand total of 45,000 points during that hypothetical year — which can then be redeemed for $450 worth of gift cards, statement credits or future travel purchases.
Other features
In addition to being a solid credit card for earning and redeeming travel rewards, the Wander Card comes with added benefits and consumer protections from Credit One Bank.
Cardmembers get free online access to their credit score every month as well as zero fraud liability to protect against unauthorized charges. You’ll also enjoy travel accident insurance for added security while on the road, and, when swiping the card outside the U.S., you’ll pay no foreign transaction fees.
Finally, you can conveniently manage your account from anywhere with the Credit One Bank mobile app.
