BermudAir will land in three new East Coast destinations come spring.

Beginning in April, the airline will link Charleston International Airport (CHS), Hartford's Bradley International Airport (BDL) and Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) with Bermuda's L.F. Wade International Airport (BDA). BermudAir will offer the only nonstop flights between the three U.S. airports and its namesake island.

Fares for the new routes start at $139 one-way from Charleston and Raleigh and $169 one-way from Hartford.

"We're thrilled to bring more options for Bermuda residents and to welcome new visitors from these exciting North American cities," BermudAir founder and CEO Adam Scott said in a statement. He added that the routes create new opportunities to boost visitor numbers to Bermuda.

BermudAir took off in August 2023 with flights to two U.S. airports: Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Westchester County Airport (HPN) north of New York City. The carrier was conceived as an all-business-class airline offering travelers exclusive "pods" on its two Embraer E175s. However, supplier delays meant the airline debuted with a standard two-class product, including a traditional first-class cabin — no pods — as well as economy seats. It has since embraced the dual-class business model and plans to keep it even after it introduces its much-delayed first-class pods.

"We'd like to introduce the pods still at the front of the aircraft," Scott said in October. "There still is a very good market here ... [But] rather than just being an exclusive airline for a few, we're actually an airline for the island now."

BermudAir will offer two weekly flights to Hartford on Thursdays and Sundays starting April 3, and it'll fly to Raleigh on Mondays and Fridays from April 11. Flights to Charleston will operate on Saturdays from April 19.

The new routes bring BermudAir's total destination count to 10 across the U.S. and Canada.

The airline plans to add two more Embraer E-Jets to its fleet to support its current fleet and enable expansion by next spring. In October, Scott said those additional aircraft could be more E175s or larger E190s or E195s able to seat more than 100 passengers.

A BermudAir spokesperson was not immediately available to comment on the status of the fleet growth.

BermudAir is also working on launching a loyalty program, and Scott has said it plans to forge partnerships with other airlines.
