The airline is offering a limited-time promotion that allows targeted Barclays and Citi AAdvantage credit card holders to earn 1 extra mile and Loyalty Point on select American Airlines purchases in November. You must register for this promotion by Nov. 6.
To check if you're eligible for this offer and to register, sign in to your AAdvantage account and go to your account homepage.
Navigate to "Promotions." You'll see the offer here if you're eligible. Select "Registration details" and follow the prompts to complete your registration.
Registration for this offer closes Nov. 6, but we recommend registering now.
Once registered, use your AAdvantage credit card for eligible select American Airlines purchases between Nov. 1 and 30. This way, you'll earn 1 extra mile and Loyalty Point per dollar spent. These purchases must be posted to your billing statement by Nov. 30 to receive the bonus from this offer. You'll receive bonus rewards from this offer in your AAdvantage account by Dec. 31.
This offer applies to purchases made through American Airlines channels. According to the terms and conditions, American Airlines channels include aa.com, American Airlines reservations, Admirals Club, American Airlines Vacations website, American Airlines airport and city ticket counters.

Bottom line
Ordinarily, AAdvantage cardholders earn 1 Loyalty Point per dollar spent; however, this offer doubles Loyalty Point accruals for November. That's particularly advantageous as AAdvantage elite members are beginning to enter their final sprint to earn elite status before Loyalty Point balances reset on March 1, 2024.
Regarding award miles, an additional AAdvantage mile from this offer means you'll earn an extra 1.5% from your cobranded American Airlines credit card. This is based on TPG's valuation of AAdvantage miles at 1.5 cents each.
