Inside the “Lost in Translation” Hotel: Park Hyatt Tokyo

While many movie buffs will recognize the Park Hyatt Tokyo as being Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson's stomping ground in the 2003 award-winning film "Lost in Translation," that wasn't the only reason I wanted to stay there.

The Category 7 Park Hyatt Tokyo is one of the city's best Hyatt properties, plus I'm a Hyatt Diamond elite, so I knew there were extra perks like daily breakfast — served for free in the club lounge or via room service — that I could take advantage of. Not only that, I was able to use my Founders Card to score a 48% discount off the nightly rate and only ended up paying about $439 per night. I also cashed in one of my Diamond Suite Upgrades so I could spend a few nights in a swanky 1,100-square-foot Park Suite King room, which normally would have cost $1,719 per night.
