The Hyatt Credit Card is one of the top co-branded hotel cards out there, and that's partly thanks to its generous sign-up bonus of two free nights after you spend $2,000 in the first three months. We've covered this card's perks — along with how to best redeem your night certificates — in the past, but today let's take a look specifically at the best hotels for getting the most value out of your two free nights.

Before we dive into the list, keep in mind that these picks represent just one way to get great value out of the sign-up bonus. We're looking at higher-tier (generally Category 7 and Park Hyatt) properties that have the highest nightly rates among hotels in the Hyatt portfolio, so at least on paper these options will get you the most value for your two free nights. However, if you don't plan to travel to any of the destinations listed below or simply want to save on an upcoming trip you already have planned, it could definitely make sense to use your free nights at a lower-tier Hyatt hotel. Also note that some properties, like the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek, were left off this list because their spring and summer rates are much lower than what you'll pay in the winter.

Additionally, refer to this post for information on how to redeem your certificates when you're ready to book a stay using your free nights.

1. Park Hyatt New York

Rates in mid-May: From $1,075 per night for a Park Deluxe King

Rates at this posh property in midtown Manhattan are pretty much never cheap — and they're especially prohibitive in the warmer months. If you redeem your nights here, expect amazing city views, swanky decor and an awesome indoor pool on the top floor.

2. Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme

You'll find beautiful sculptures and fixtures throughout the Park Hyatt Paris. Image courtesy of the hotel.

Rates in mid-May: From $749 (706 Euros) per night for a Park Queen

Without a doubt, this is one of the top luxe options if you're planning a stay in the City of Lights. I enjoyed a stay here in 2016, and while paying extra to upgrade to a Diplomatic Suite definitely improved the experience, the standard rooms feature similar high-end decor, and you'll enjoy a great location not far from the Jardin des Tuileries and plenty of great shopping.

3. Park Hyatt Sydney

Rates in mid-May: From $670 ($884 AUD) per night for a City Harbor King

This property boasts an outstanding location with great views of the Sydney Opera House, and some rooms also offer prime vistas. TPG reviewed this property back in 2014 and found it to be a great value — especially if you're a top-tier elite and eligible for the phenomenal free breakfast. On-site amenities include a spa, a rooftop pool and terrace, two restaurants and a bar.

4. Park Hyatt Milan

The Park Hyatt Milan is ideally located for shopping in the city center. Image courtesy of the hotel.

Rates in mid-May: From $660 (621 Euros) per night for a Park King

If your travels take you to Milan, this hotel is one of your best (high-end) accommodation options, thanks to excellent staff and a great location near prime shopping. The Michelin-starred restaurant VUN is on site, as are two bars serving cocktails and aperitifs.

5. Park Hyatt Zurich

Rates in mid-May: From $568 (690 CHF) per night for a Park King

This sleek property is a great option in an expensive city, and it features well-appointed, modern rooms. TPG Contributor Nick Ewen found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful when he visited with his wife and infant daughter in 2016. I found the staff to be friendly as well when I visited a year earlier.

6. Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills

Hotel Review: Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills

Rates in mid-May: From $525 (57,000 Japanese Yen) per night for an Andaz Bay View King

This is among TPG's favorite places to stay in Tokyo, thanks to comfortable rooms, great perks like a complimentary mini-bar and a great spa. The location isn't quite as ideal for sightseeing as the Park Hyatt Tokyo's, but this could still be a great choice if you don't mind taking public transportation to reach the hotspots.

7. Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

Rates in mid-May: From $525 per night for a Park Villa

This is one of the most aspirational properties in the Hyatt portfolio, thanks to the far-flung location and fantastic amenities. The $525 nightly rates we're seeing for a stay in mid-May are actually on the low side for this hotel, so you'll definitely be getting great value for your free nights if you choose to redeem them here (and you'll probably want to tack on a few award or paid nights since you'll be making such a trek to visit).

8. Palacio Duhau - Park Hyatt Buenos Aires

The Palacio Duhau in Buenos Aires is quite the looker. Image courtesy of the hotel.

Rates in mid-May: From $500 per night for a Park Deluxe King

This 165-room hotel incorporates an early 20th-century palace with a modern building, and it even features a garden and art gallery. It's located in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires, where you'll find plenty of boutiques and sightseeing opportunities.

9. Park Hyatt Tokyo

Rates in mid-May: From $491 (53,350 Japanese Yen) per night for a Park Deluxe Twin

Also known as the "Lost in Translation hotel," this property boasts the swanky, 52nd-floor New York Bar and immaculate, modern rooms. It's located in Shinjuku, with plenty to see, eat and explore within walking distance.

10. Hyatt Carmel Highlands

Enjoy views of the California coast at the Hyatt Carmel Highlands. Image courtesy of the hotel.

Rates in mid-May: From $450 per night for a Garden View Room

This is one of the less exotic options on this list, but it's situated in beautiful Big Sur, offering great views of the California coast. Guests can use complimentary mountain bikes to explore the surrounding area, and many rooms feature a wood-burning fireplace.

Bottom Line

As you can see, it's easy to get well over $1,000 in value from the Hyatt Card's sign-up bonus by using your free nights at high-end properties, and if you have a Chase card that earns Ultimate Rewards, such as the Chase Sapphire Preferred, you can transfer points instantly to Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio and extend your stay on the cheap. Whether you're planning a spring or summer getaway or just want some inspiration for a future vacation, hopefully this post has sparked some ideas!
