Vail Resorts' summer sale: 20% off lodging
Editor's note: This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers.
As summer inches closer (albeit at a snail's pace for those of us in the Midwest), there's another season some of us are thinking about well in advance.
We simultaneously regret yet rejoice to bring your attention to ski season, but we promise it's for a good reason.
Vail Resorts' annual summer sale is upon us, meaning you can save 20% on lodging rates for the summer season. Epic Pass holders get early access to the sale and save an additional 20% through the Epic Mountain Rewards program.
Mountaingoers 13 and older can purchase an Epic Pass for unlimited access to ski resorts across North America, Europe and Australia during the 2024-2025 season for $982. This is the cheapest rate before the price increases ahead of the winter season.

- Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card: 2 miles per dollar spent on all purchases
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees): 2 points per dollar spent on travel
- Chase Sapphire Reserve® (see rates and fees): 8 points per dollar spent on purchases through Chase Travel℠, and 4 points per dollar spent on flights booked direct
- American Express® Gold Card: 4 points per dollar spent on dining at restaurants worldwide (on up to $50,000 in purchases per calendar year, then 1 point per dollar), plus 3 points per dollar spent on airfare when booked directly with the airline or through Amex Travel, and 2 points per dollar spent on prepaid hotels and other eligible purchases booked on AmexTravel.com.
Bottom line
Epic Passes are currently available as priced for $982, offering unlimited access to ski resorts across North America, Europe and Australia through the entire ski season.
