Jet off to sunnier skies this winter thanks to discounted flights from American Airlines. The carrier is offering trips to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands for fares starting as low as $228 round-trip.

If you're in the Baltimore or Washington, D.C., area, you can fly from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) for just $236 round-trip (again, with a short layover in each direction).
These fares apply to American's basic economy class, which allows one free carry-on bag. If you want to check a bag, it'll set you back $30 each way. Luckily, since you're saving more than $300 on these flights, you'll have some extra cash to spend on baggage.
Maximize your purchase
