Spain deal alert: Fly to Madrid from Boston, Miami and New York City from $319 round-trip

Madrid is a perennial favorite among travelers and is best known for its museums, foods and stunning historic sites such as the Royal Palace. Now, thanks to a new fare sale by TAP Air Portugal, you can travel to the Spanish capital in the fall and early 2025 at a solid discount.

Departure cities in this deal include Boston, Miami, New York City and Washington, D.C., and the travel window is between October 2024 and April 2025. Availability varies by route, and, as is usually the case with some of these deals, the absolute cheapest prices must be booked through an online travel agency.

This sale is for economy fares. A carry-on bag is included, but checked luggage will cost between $75 and $100 each way.

TAP Air Portugal has round-trip fares from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) in November for just $319, a nice price for this route.

Bottom line

Availability in this deal is fairly widespread, but November had the most options. The fall happens to be a great time to visit Madrid, with moderate weather and fewer tourists.

There’s a lot to love about the Amex Gold. It’s a fan favorite thanks to its fantastic bonus-earning rates at restaurants worldwide and at U.S. supermarkets. If you’re hitting the skies soon, you’ll also earn bonus Membership Rewards points on travel. Paired with up to $120 in Uber Cash annually (for U.S. Uber rides or Uber Eats orders, card must be added to Uber app and you can redeem with any Amex card), up to $120 in annual dining statement credits to be used with eligible partners, an up to $84 Dunkin’ credit each year at U.S. Dunkin Donuts and an up to $100 Resy credit annually, there’s no reason that foodies shouldn’t add the Amex Gold to their wallet.
