American Airlines is offering deals on flights to various Caribbean destinations under $300 round-trip from Philadelphia. You can fly from the "City of Brotherly Love" to Aruba or Turks and Caicos for the white sand beaches. Or fly to Trinidad and Tobago for delicious food such as doubles, stewed, spicy chickpeas in between two fried flaps of dough. In Antigua and Barbuda, you can go from the coast to the rain forest.

SecretFlying alerted us about the discounted basic economy class fares on American Airlines to these spots in the Caribbean, which can be booked for travel from March to June.

The deals below are for basic economy flights on American, which include a standard seat and a carry-on. Checked baggage will cost extra.

The cheapest and shortest flight we found is from Philadelphia (PHL) to Aruba (AUA) for $248 round-trip.

There are flights from Philadelphia (PHL) to Providenciales (PLS) in the Turks and Caicos for $264 round-trip. There are stops in Charlotte (CLT) each way, including a long layover that is over 13 hours on the return flight.

Travelers can go from Philadelphia (PHL) to Antigua and Barbuda (ANU) at $278 round-trip. The flight includes a stop in Miami (MIA) on the departure and two stops on the return in MIA and Charlotte (CLT).

Flights to Port of Spain (POS), the capital of Trinidad and Tobago, from Philadelphia (PHL) are available for $291 round-trip and include long stops in Miami (MIA) each way.
