Paris is a bucket list destination for many travelers thanks to its spectacular museums and art galleries, charming streets and exceptional food scene. Luckily, there are deals on nonstop flights to the City of Light on American Airlines and international low-cost carrier French Bee.

Discounted flights are available now through April and in November and December. There are a few options scattered throughout August and September, too.

Deal basics

Airlines: American and French Bee
Routes: Chicago, Newark and New York City to Paris
How to book: Browse Google Flights and book directly with the airline
Travel dates: January through April; November and December

Sample flights

Nonstop flights from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) are around $479. There are cheaper flight options available on other airlines if you want to spend less, but know that they aren't nonstop.

The price applies to American's basic economy fare, which allows one free carry-on bag. If you want to check a bag, you must upgrade to the main cabin or fork over an extra $150 for the round trip.

French Bee also offers nonstop flights to Paris from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Flights land at Paris-Orly Airport (ORY) rather than CDG.

As with American, this fare includes one carry-on bag. You'll pay more for extra baggage.

Maximize your purchase

Don't forget to use a credit card that earns bonus points on airfare purchases, such as:

  • Chase Sapphire Preferred Card: 2 points per dollar spent on travel
  • American Express® Gold Card: 3 points per dollar spent on airfare when booked directly through the airline or American Express Travel
  • The Platinum Card® from American Express: 5 points per dollar spent on airfare when booked directly through the airline or American Express Travel® (on up to $500,000 of these purchases per calendar year, then 1 point per dollar)
  • Chase Sapphire Reserve: 8 points per dollar on all Chase Travel℠ purchases and 4 points per dollar on flights booked directly through the airline
  • Citi Strata Premier® Card (see rates and fees): 3 points per dollar spent on air travel

Bottom line

These discounted nonstop flights are convenient for a spring or fall trip to Paris. Aim to book as soon as possible, though, as the cheaper fares will likely sell fast.
