Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you're using the American Express Platinum Card, you'll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to get the time away from work or family.

The all-business-class French carrier La Compagnie is currently running an early Black Friday promotion with round-trip flights from Newark (EWR) to Paris (CDG) for $998. We're seeing discounted fares throughout much of the rest of this year and all the way through the end of its schedule in October 2018 — including summer.

Even though La Compagnie offers promotional sale every so often, this is the right along with cheapest we've seen the carrier offer round-trip flights. Note that in order to take advantage of these $998 round-trip fares, you must book by November 21, 2017.

TPG has flown with La Compagnie and thought the experience was comfortable enough. Although the seats are angle-flat as opposed to lie-flat, the all-business-class trip is enjoyable — especially at discounted prices such as these.
