Summer vacation is right around the corner, and IHG Hotels & Resorts wants to help you save money on your summer travels during the IHG Summer Sale. This sale is eligible at participating locations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean and other international destinations if you book between now and May 21 for travel between May 24 and Sept. 2.

All travelers can save 20% during the IHG Summer Sale, but IHG One Rewards members can save 25%. IHG One Rewards is a free loyalty program that lets you earn and redeem points when you stay at IHG brands like Holiday Inn, Kimpton, Hotel Indigo, Crowne Plaza and InterContinental. If you aren't yet an IHG One Rewards member, sign up before booking your room for additional savings during this summertime sale.

These discounted rates do come with some restrictions. Bookings are fully prepaid, nonrefundable and only available for stays of two nights or more.

Our searches showed widespread availability for this deal. Remember, the 25% savings is only available to IHG One Rewards members. All travelers can save 20% during the IHG Summer Sale. Signing up for IHG One Rewards is totally free, though, so there is no reason not to sign up and save that extra 5%.

For example, a non-discounted stay at the InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort in late May would cost $1,033 per night (plus taxes and fees) with a standard IHG One Rewards member discount.

However, during the IHG Summer Sale, you can get the same overwater pool villa for a discounted rate of $799 per night (plus taxes and fees). For a two-night stay, that's a savings of $469 before taxes and fees.

If your travels take you to the Big Apple this summer, you can save more than $100 per night at the InterContinental New York Times Square during the sale.

IHG One Rewards members can get a room for $262 per night (plus taxes and fees) in mid-June with the discount; a non-discounted room would cost $394 per night (plus taxes and fees).

Travelers heading to Miami this summer can save big on stays at several area hotels, including the budget-friendly Hotel Indigo Miami Brickell.

The standard rate for IHG One Rewards members is $165 per night (plus taxes and fees) in late May, but you can get the same room at $131 per night (plus taxes and fees) during this sale.
