The Faroe Islands are sandwiched between Iceland and Norway. This destination is made up of 18 islands and is considered a hidden treasure in Europe. Scandinavian Airlines is offering some serious deals to the Faroe Islands from major U.S. cities, starting below $500 round-trip.

Sample flights

The deals below are for basic economy tickets called SAS Go Light on Scandinavian Airlines, which include a carry-on. A checked bag will cost about $60 extra, each way. The flight below includes a stop in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Flights from Newark (EWR) to the Faroe Islands (FAE) are available for $457 round trip. though beware the layovers are long. This deal has the shortest stop in Copenhagen (CPH) that we found, and it is just under four hours each way.

For the same price, travelers can fly from Los Angeles (LAX) to the Faroe Islands (FAE) for $457 round trip. On the return flight, there is an overnight stop in Copenhagen (CPH) over 17 hours long.

You can book a trip from Miami (MIA) to the Faroe Islands (FAE) for $468 round trip. The price is cheaper by over $500 for these travel dates in May, according to Google Flights.

A trip from Washington, D.C., (IAD) to the Faroe Islands (FAE) will cost about $514 round-trip. There is nearly a 20-hour layover in Copenhagen (CPH), which actually might be just enough time for a day trip in the capital city of Denmark.
