Europe deal alert: Flights to Denmark, Finland and Spain from $381 round-trip
It's still possible to find good bargains on round-trip fares to Europe, and this latest deal alert is proof.
Flights to cities such as Copenhagen, Helsinki, Munich and Seville, Spain, are currently on sale from departure cities like Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles and New York City. Various airlines have marked down flights, but most of the best prices and availability we saw were with TAP Air Portugal and SAS.
As is the norm with overseas fare sales, checked baggage is not included. We found some fares that include free carry-ons, but the majority do not. So, keep in mind that you'll have to pay to check a bag or upgrade a tier to be able to check baggage.
Most travel in this deal is between August and March 2023, and while most holidays are excluded, we did find some great prices on flights over Thanksgiving.

Our thanks to Scott’s Cheap Flights for alerting us to this latest deal. Its basic membership is available for $49 per year. The Elite tier option is available for $199 per year, and that provides you with access to deals on premium economy, business-class and first-class tickets.
As always, flexible travel plans give you the best chance to find the best prices.

Sample flights
Let's get things started with a great deal to Spain. We found a TAP Air Portugal economy fare from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Malaga–Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) in December for just $430 round-trip. That's incredibly low for this itinerary, which can often cost over $1,000 this time of year. Keep in mind that TAP typically charges around $65 each way to upgrade and get a checked bag.
Some of the best fares we found in this deal involved departure flights out of Newark. This SAS itinerary in November to Helsinki Airport (HEL) is $429 round-trip, a nice discount from typical prices. Also, SAS economy tickets permit you a free carry-on bag, so that's a nice bonus you typically don't get with sale fares to Europe.
Miami to Seville Airport (SVQ) in November on TAP can be booked for $488 round-trip, with a layover in Lisbon, Portugal, each way. Not only is that price a significant markdown from normal fares, but this economy fare also comes with a free carry-on.
TAP had many of the best fares available in this deal, including this bargain itinerary to Germany. You can book a round trip from Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Munich Airport (MUC) in October for $461, which saves you around $250 from usual prices.
West Coast travelers can also find some good deals. Fly SAS out of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Helsinki (HEL) in November for $478 round-trip, a really good price for this route. This is also over Thanksgiving, so if you like the idea of traveling overseas and escaping for the holidays, this fare should be especially appealing.
We found a lot of available tickets from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to Helsinki in November, including this excellent fare on SAS for $448 round-trip.
Let's end with a sweet sale price on an October flight from New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Copenhagen Airport (CPH), which TAP has available for only $381. That is an amazing price for this round-trip itinerary, so don't spend too much time thinking about it.
