Calling all Disney fans for this magical deal alert: With flights from Orlando to Los Angeles and vice versa, you can visit both Disney World and Disneyland in a single round trip.

Fly from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Orlando International Airport (MCO) for as little as $168, or start in MCO and fly to LAX, starting at $178, depending on the airline.

Deal basics

Airlines: American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.
Routes: LAX-MCO.
How to book: Search Google Flights and book directly through the airline.
Travel dates: August-September.
Book by: Less than 24 hours.

Today's deal was originally sent out from Scott's Cheap Flights, which sends deals up to 90% off via its Premium membership, which users can try for free for 14 days (then $49 per year). You can also upgrade to the Elite tier for $199 per year and receive all the Premium deals plus premium economy, business-class and first-class alerts.

Sample flights

In conducting a test search for this story, I found the cheapest overall flight from LA to Orlando to be by booking separate tickets, specifically by flying United on the first leg and Delta on the way back.

Note that the advertised fares are for United's basic economy class, which does not include a full-size carry-on.

On the return flight, however, flying Delta's basic economy does afford you the luxury of bringing a carry-on.

Of course, to make it even simpler, you could book this same flight flying Delta both ways for just a slightly higher price tag of $181.

Regardless of the airline, it'll cost you between $30-$35 to check a bag, or you could consider upgrading to economy class on United or the main cabin on Delta and American Airlines. Also, all of the flights in this deal are nonstop.

This deal also works in reverse, meaning you could start in Orlando and fly to Los Angeles. However, you'll have the same considerations regarding whether it makes more sense to pay less to book via two carriers or pay more to fly one airline.

Though the below flight is the most expensive flight offered on that day among the three carriers, it might make more sense to pay more to fly AA if that's your preferred airline.

Unlike the other fare types highlighted, AA's Main Cabin includes free seat selection and free fare changes.

This deal is good for flights in August and September, which provides the chance to avoid the summer crowds at Disney's most famed parks. Remember the deal works in reverse and though it's for round-trip flights, you could combine two one-way tickets to comprise a round trip at the same price.

Because it's such a good deal, flights are expected to go fast, so be sure to book ASAP to fulfill your Disney dreams.
