Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

Flights from the US to Thailand are on sale with departures available from all over the country. You can fly from Chicago (ORD), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK/LGA), Newark (EWR), San Francisco (SFO), San Jose (SJC) and Washington DC (DCA/IAD) to Bangkok (BKK) from as little as $462 round-trip.

The one-stop flights are operated by United and Japanese airline ANA, which flies a Boeing 787 between Tokyo and Bangkok. Some connections are operated by Cathay Pacific.

To book, head to Google Flights and input your departure city and Bangkok as your destination. Then, scroll through the calendar function to find the dates that work best for you. Once selected, click through to book directly with United or the OTA of your choice.
