Is summer in Mexico something you might be interested in? We thought so. If you jump on this new deal, you can start planning your itinerary right away.

Aeromexico has put a number of round-trip flights from Los Angeles to Mexico City on sale and also discounted fares from other West Coast cities. The cheapest prices were obviously for flights out of LAX, but cities like Seattle also have great prices on flights to Mexico's capital that are worth considering.

Aeromexico's economy fares allow for just a free carry-on, so expect to pay at least $30-$35 to check a bag each way.

Our thanks to Secret Flying for tipping us off to this great travel deal.

The very best deals in this sale are for summer travel, but we found discounted rates for travel starting in May and extending until October, and even at the start of 2023. As we always say when alerting you about these fare sales, a flexible travel schedule will help you score the best prices.

Sample flights

The bargains for flights out of LAX to Mexico City (MEX) on Aeromexico are plentiful. We found huge price cuts for that route across the summer and into the fall. For example, you can enjoy a long weekend getaway in June with a $202 nonstop fare. That's a big savings from what you would usually pay for this itinerary.

You can find the same great price on a nonstop out of LAX in July.

Want to book one last vacation before you wrap up your summer? August fares from LA to Mexico are on sale, too, for just $214 nonstop.

You can cash in your casino winnings and pick up a great price for flights from Las Vegas (LAS) to Mexico City in the summer. Nonstop flights are available throughout June for less than $300, but this ticket for a long Fourth of July trip is an absolute steal at just $210 round-trip.

Seattle (SEA) to Mexico City is on sale in June for just $374 nonstop. That's a significant reduction from typical fares.

Seattle to Mexico City can also be booked at a discount for travel in January.
