Europe deal alert: Fly to Amsterdam from the various U.S. cities from $372 round trip
Flights to Amsterdam are on sale right now. This is for fall and winter travel, which is especially welcome right now because it will help you avoid the summer travel meltdowns we've been warning you about. You can find these discounted flights from cities such as Baltimore, Boston Chicago, Los Angeles, Newark and others. Some routes are available for less than $400 round-trip and we found some truly great prices.
As is the norm with these deals, the flights have layovers each way and the vast majority of tickets are economy, so checked bags will cost extra. Prices vary depending on the carrier so double-check with the airline to be sure. It’s helpful to keep those fees in mind when figuring out the best itinerary to book.
The best availability we saw was for travel between October this year and March 2023. Once you book your ticket, be sure to read our story on how to avoid the occasional chaos and long lines at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

Thanks to Scott’s Cheap Flights for first alerting us to this deal. Its Premium membership is available for $49 per year, while the Elite tier option is available for $199 per year. The latter offers access to deals on premium economy, business- and first-class tickets. As always, try to be as flexible with your travel plans as possible, as it'll typically help you find better prices.

Sample flights
Let's begin with an absolutely epic fare from Miami (MIA) to Amsterdam (AMS) in early November. SAS has round-trip tickets for only $451. That's more than half of the normal price for this route. You get a free carry-on but a checked bag will cost you extra.
Aer Lingus has round-trip fares from Boston (BOS) to Amsterdam for only $414. That's an excellent price for a fall itinerary. Checking a bag will cost you $110 but at this fare price, you still come out ahead.
You can fly from Chicago (ORD) to Amsterdam on TAP Portugal for $372 round trip in early January.
There are a number of discounted fares to Amsterdam out of the New York City area, but the lowest prices we found were for flights out of Newark Liberty Airport (EWR). This November itinerary is only $428 round trip, a really good price for this route.
We'll end with a sensational discount for California travelers. You can fly SAS economy from Los Angeles (LAX) to Amsterdam in early December for only $428 round trip. That fare will normally set you back more than $1,000, so this is an epic deal. Yeah, you have a quick layover in Copenhagen and you have to pay to check a bag, but at that low price, who cares?
