Per The Flight Deal, Delta is offering some amazing deals from several west coast cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle to Tokyo-Haneda for this spring starting at just $600 round-trip.

Finding Airfares Using the ITA Matrix

One of the most useful tools for searching airfares quickly is the this post for tips on how to use it.

For a quick sampling, I searched airfares from Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo- Haneda (HND) and was able to find these fares for 4-9 night stays starting at $601 in April.

These fares book into Delta's V class, so unfortunately they aren't upgradable unless you're a Delta Diamond Medallion member and have a Global Upgrade certificate to use. Since Delta recently switched to a revenue based loyalty program, as a SkyMiles member you would only earn around 2,575 SkyMiles, though you would earn 10,976 MQM's from Los Angeles to Tokyo-Haneda.
