Sample flights
You can get these cheap flights to St. Thomas from many smaller U.S. cities such as Burlington, Vermont, and Jacksonville, Florida. There’s also availability from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Here are some flights we’ve highlighted:
- Delta: Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) to Cyril E. King Airport (STT), starting at $275 (includes a layover in Atlanta).
- American: Tallahassee International Airport (TLH) to STT, starting at $283 (includes a layover in Miami).
- Delta: Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) to STT, starting at $297 (includes a layover in Atlanta).
- Delta: Burlington International Airport (BTV) to STT, starting at $315 (includes a layover in New York City).
- Delta: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) and Dulles International Airport (IAD) to STT, starting at $315 (both include layovers in New York City).
- Delta: Nashville International Airport (BNA) to STT, starting at $335 (includes a layover in Atlanta).
- United: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to STT, starting at $377 (includes a layover in Washington, D.C.).
We recommend using Google Flights to find your ideal dates and then booking your tickets directly on the airline’s website; airlines are more reliable in the event of a delay, cancellation or booking change.
If you’re flying from Seattle to St. Thomas on Jan. 26, Google Flights shows a United flight at 11 p.m. as the cheapest option at $377.
As for returning flights, United offers one on Feb. 2 at 1 p.m. Both flights to and from St. Thomas include a layover in Washington, D.C.
While these fares are low, keep in mind that they only extend to basic economy. United’s basic economy does not let passengers bring a carry-on bag, and seat selection includes an additional fee. Passengers also cannot change their tickets or receive refunds for canceling their flights when flying with United’s basic economy.
United also has multiple bundles you can choose from, offering access to the United Club, seat selection and checked baggage. These bundles range from $50 to $105, and you’d have to choose a bundle for each flight.
The cheapest available seats cost $15, and the most expensive preferred seats, which have more legroom, cost $51. At the time of publication, many of the economy seats appeared to be filled, so we recommend booking your flights as soon as possible.

Book these fares fast — these prices are not expected to last long and flights are already filling up.
