If you're the type of traveler who loves to immerse themselves in the great outdoors, now is the time to take advantage of some Black Friday sales for stays in various national parks. Whether you're looking to visit Death Valley, take a historic train ride to the Grand Canyon or bathe in the majestic glory of Glacier National Park, there's a bunch of discounts for stays early next year, when the crowds will be much thinner but the parks no less beautiful.

The Oasis at Death Valley houses two great hotels, The Inn and The Ranch, which, between them, have recently undergone $200 million in renovations to offer two striking hideaways. Both are offering 30% off on hotel stays for Black Friday if you stay between December 2023 and February 2024.

The Inn has been in operation since 1927 and looks out toward the Panamint mountains, with a natural spring running through the hotel, whereas The Ranch is along Highway 190 near the National Park Service Visitor Center and features an 18-hole golf course (the lowest-elevation course in the world) and a natural spring-fed pool.

Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel

There’s a lot to love about the Amex Gold. It’s a fan favorite thanks to its fantastic bonus-earning rates at restaurants worldwide and at U.S. supermarkets. If you’re hitting the skies soon, you’ll also earn bonus Membership Rewards points on travel. Paired with up to $120 in Uber Cash annually (for U.S. Uber rides or Uber Eats orders, card must be added to Uber app and you can redeem with any Amex card), up to $120 in annual dining statement credits to be used with eligible partners, an up to $84 Dunkin’ credit each year at U.S. Dunkin Donuts and an up to $100 Resy credit annually, there’s no reason that foodies shouldn’t add the Amex Gold to their wallet.
