When you buy a Fairmont Hotels & Resorts e-gift card on Black Friday (November 25) between 1 and 4pm EST, you'll get a 20% bonus. If you were already planning to purchase a gift card for a friend or relative on your shopping list, this could give them some extra credit toward a stay — or you could keep the 20% bonus card for yourself. This promotion is only valid for e-gift cards, and the maximum bonus you can get is $1,000.

Hyatt

Save on a stay at the expensive, luxurious Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme with Hyatt's current sale.

For Hyatt's Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale, the chain is discounting hotels throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Latin America by up to 25%. Reservations must be booked by November 29, 2016 for stays through November 29, 2017. Request the "Hyatt Holiday Rate" if you're booking over the phone.

Of course, the savings is relative, and appears to match the standard AAA rate — for example, for a weekend stay in February, the Park Hyatt New York is offering a standard rate of $825 for a base room, while the AAA and Hyatt Holiday Rate is fixed at $753. At the Andaz 5th Avenue, meanwhile, the regular rate is $305 while the AAA/Black Friday rate is $275. It's very important to note that under most circumstances the Hyatt Holiday Rate cannot be canceled, while the AAA rate (which is often identical) can.

Additionally, Hyatt is offering up to 25% off stays at 160-plus hotels around the world when you book by February 28, 2017 for stays between December 15, 2016 and March 15, 2017. If you're looking to splurge, you could book a room at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme for $551 per night in early March, or you could lock in a slightly more affordable stay at the Andaz Amsterdam, Prinsengracht for $236 per night night in mid-January.

IHG

This sale launches on Cyber Monday (November 28), and it will run through Friday, December 2 at 8pm EST. Once it's live, head here to score discounts at participating properties in the US, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America and South America. IHG Rewards will also introduce new auction items each day during the sale, in addition to offering deals on award stays, point & cash stays and points purchases.

Marriott

As we reported earlier this month, when you book eligible stays between November 25 and November 28 directly through Marriott using the promo code 444, you can score up to 25% off. Nightly rates are available for as little as $80 in New York City and $94 in Paris. Keep in mind that eligible travel dates vary by region, and you'll be eligible for higher discounts if you're a Marriott Rewards member.

Starwood

Starwood's getting an early start this year; officially, its deals were set to launch on November 21, ahead of Thanksgiving, but they appear to be live as of November 19. You can book all the way through December 4 for stays through September 4, 2017. You'll find rates of up to 30% off at select hotels, and SPG members will get an extra 5% off, so it's definitely worth signing up if you aren't already a member.

Digging into the deals... as of November 19, it's slim pickings in New York City. For example, in order to score any discount you'll need to stay across the river in Jersey, and only the W Hoboken appears to be offering the full 30% discount. At that property, a weekend stay in May will run you $246 per night for a Cozy Room, compared with $259 for the AAA "Hot Deal" rate, both of which are nonrefundable. The cheapest refundable rate is $284 (also AAA), while the regular SPG member rate is $308.

The best deals may actually be overseas, though. For example, the Westin Paris - Vendôme (pictured above) is €275 ($291) per night for a weekend stay in March, while the SPG and AAA rates (both refundable) are €347 ($367) per night.

American Express Travel

You can also save up to 50% on stays when you book through American Express Travel now through November 28 for travel between January 9, 2017 and February 9, 2017. Sample rates include $514 per night at the all-inclusive Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun (usually $1,029 per night) for a stay in mid-January and $151 per night at the Montebello Splendid Hotel in Florence, Italy (usually $263 per night) in early February. Since the promotion only applies to travel dates in early 2017, it might not make sense for you, but if it aligns with your travel plans this could be a great opportunity to save on stays in the US, Caribbean, Europe and Mexico.
