Many of these lifestyle perks are centered around fitness. One such benefit includes the up to $300 annual Equinox statement credit (enrollment required).

What is the Amex Platinum Card Equinox credit?

Equinox is a luxury fitness club with more than 110 locations in the U.S., Canada and the United Kingdom. The clubs are primarily located in major cities, with over 40 locations within New York City's metro area (where Equinox is headquartered) alone.

With the Platinum Card, you'll get an up to $300 Equinox statement credit each calendar year. You can choose to use this statement credit on a:

  • Physical club membership
  • Digital app subscription

If you live near a physical Equinox club, consider stopping by for a tour or guest pass to see what it's like. You can also try the Equinox+ app with a free seven-day trial to compare both experiences and decide which works best for you.

If there isn't a club nearby or you prefer not to pay the premium gym price, you can use your credit for a digital subscription to the Equinox+ app instead.

FAQs on Platinum Card Equinox credit

How do I use my Platinum Card Equinox credit?

Once you confirm your membership is valid for the statement credit, activate the benefit through platinum.equinox.com and charge your monthly bill to your Amex Platinum Card or sign up for an annual Equinox+ digital membership. For the statement credit to trigger, memberships must be purchased through the website.

Which memberships are eligible for the Platinum Card Equinox credit?

Cardmembers can get up to $300 in Equinox statement credits each calendar year. This statement credit can be applied toward any physical Equinox club membership or a digital Equinox+ membership (which is fully covered by the credit) when paying with your Platinum Card.

How much do physical club memberships cost?

Physical club membership costs can range from $205 to $415 a month with individual, regional, all-access and destination membership options. Prices vary based on location and membership type.

Which purchases are not eligible for the Platinum Card Equinox credit?

Day passes, memberships purchased through Equinox's mobile app and online purchases on Equinox's website do not count toward this credit. Some other exclusions may apply, so it's best to check with Amex if you're unsure if your membership qualifies. Some Reddit users have reported that spa services at Equinox have triggered the statement credit, but your mileage may vary.

What benefits do I get with the Equinox+ app?

You'll get access to an extensive portfolio of classes in categories like cycling, HIIT, meditation, running and yoga from Equinox and its many brands, such as HeadStrong, Precision Run, Pure Yoga, Rumble, Solidcore, SoulCycle and TB12.

There are also live Equinox and SoulCycle online classes available. If you prefer working out from the comfort of your own home and avoiding busy, crowded gyms, this is a great option to consider.

What about the SoulCycle credit?

Additionally, as an Equinox+ member and a Platinum Card member, you can receive an up to $300 statement credit per calendar year toward the purchase of a SoulCycle at-home bike*. A SoulCycle bike costs $2,500 (plus taxes), so it is essentially a $300 discount.

*This statement credit applies to up to 15 bikes per calendar year; enrollment is required. To qualify, you must have an active Equinox+ membership and make the purchase in a single transaction.
