If you're an Air France-KLM enthusiast, you may be eyeing the Air France KLM Visa Signature® credit card for its status boosts, bonus miles (after spending $50 in an account year) and strong earning rate on SkyTeam purchases.

Before applying for any credit card, you want to make sure you get a solid welcome bonus. Welcome bonuses provide substantial first-year value, and that's no exception with the Air France KLM Visa Signature.

Let's take a look at the card's current offer.

Air France KLM Visa welcome offer

Currently, new Air France KLM Visa Signature cardholders can earn 70,000 bonus miles and 100 Experience Points (XP) after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 90 days from account opening.

According to TPG's October 2026 valuations, the bonus miles are worth $980. The XP you'll receive after hitting the spending requirement will grant you Flying Blue Silver status for one year.

Since you'll get one year of status on top of 70,000 miles, I consider this a valuable welcome offer. I recommend applying now if you're interested.

Just remember that Air France-KLM often charges high taxes and fees on award tickets, and you may be subject to a 70 euro change or cancellation fee if you attempt to rebook a Standard award.

Flying Blue Silver status comes with some useful perks across SkyTeam and nonalliance partner airlines, including an extra free checked bag and priority check-in.

Keep in mind that since this card is issued by Bank of America, you'll be subject to their application rules. If you've been approved for three new cards in the past year or four cards in the past two years, you'll likely be declined. In my experience, Bank of America prefers a preexisting relationship with credit card applicants, as well.

Air France KLM Visa benefits

The Air France KLM Visa charges an $89 annual fee, which is lower than most mid-tier cards. To help justify this fee, this card offers the following notable perks:

  • Bonus miles on Air France-KLM and SkyTeam purchases, as well as on dining and rent paid through Bilt (for Bilt, on up to $50,000 in spending each year, with the ability to earn up to 75,000 points maximum)
  • 5,000 bonus anniversary miles (after spending $50 in an account year), worth $70 according to TPG's valuations
  • A status boost every account anniversary, plus additional boosts after meeting certain spending requirements
  • No foreign transaction fees

Provided you fly with Air France-KLM at least a few times each year, it should be easy for you to find tangible value with this card. That's especially true if you also fly with these airlines' partners, such as Delta Air Lines.

Bottom line

If you're interested in getting the Air France KLM Visa Signature, now's a great time to apply. You can earn a nice heap of miles alongside Flying Blue Silver status for one year (via the 100 XP included in the offer) after spending $3,000 in the first 90 days after opening your account.

It isn't too common for an airline card to offer status as part of a welcome offer, so this is a great opportunity for any Air France-KLM enthusiast.
