Overview

The Aeroplan card comes with a generous sign-up offer and other airline-specific perks like automatic elite status, free checked bags for you and up to eight other passengers on the same reservation and priority check-in. These perks, coupled with an up to $120 statement credit for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or Nexus application every four years, travel protection benefits and a sub-$100 annual fee make the Aeroplan card a solid card choice.

Who is this card good for?

The Aeroplan card is a good option for Air Canada loyalists since the card is filled with airline-specific perks (though you can use some of its benefits with Star Alliance partners). If you regularly travel with Air Canada — or its partners — perks like automatic elite status, priority boarding and free checked bags will make your travels that much easier and far more comfortable.
