The Points Guy Sweepstakes and Contests: Additional Rules

These Additional Rules, together with the Official General Rules ("General Rules"), govern the Promotion defined below to be conducted by The Points Guy. These Additional Rules will prevail in the event of an inconsistency between the terms and conditions of the General Rules and the terms and conditions of the Additional Rules. By entering, you explicitly agree to these Additional Rules and to the General Rules governing TPG promotions. Incomplete, garbled, non-responsive and mechanically reproduced entries will be disqualified. If you enter using a mobile device, standard data charges may apply from your carrier.

PROMOTION: THE POINTS GUY x CATHAY PACIFIC YOUR TICKET TO HONG KONG GIVEAWAY ("Giveaway")

SPONSOR: The Points Guy, LLC ("TPG"), 1423 Red Ventures Drive, Fort Mill, South Carolina 29707 is the sponsor of this Giveaway. Any questions relating to this Giveaway should be directed to TPG.

Instagram and Cathay Pacific are not sponsors of this Giveaway.

ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING. The Giveaway is open to individuals who are residents of the fifty (50) United States or D.C. age 21 or older at the time of entry. Entrants must also be registered users of Instagram and you can sign up for a free Instagram account at https://www.instagram.com/accounts/emailsignup/.

Employees, officers and directors of TPG and Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, their respective parent, affiliated and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotional agencies, web masters and web suppliers and persons engaged in the development of Giveaway materials (collectively, the "Promotional Entities"), and members of the immediate family (parents, siblings, children and spouse, wherever they reside) or household (whether or not related) of such employees, officers and directors are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway. Participants confirm that they meet all eligibility requirements.

PROMOTION PERIOD: The Giveaway begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on Monday, November 3, 2025, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on Monday, November 10, 2025 (the "Promotion Period"). The server hosting the Instagram platform is the official time clock for the Giveaway. Late submissions will not be accepted.

HOW TO ENTER: At or around 12:00 a.m. ET on November 3, 2025, Sponsor will add a post about this Giveaway on its Instagram profile (the "Giveaway Post"). During the Promotion Period, enter by visiting Instagram and following both brands, @ThePointsGuy and @CathayPacific. Then, comment on the Giveaway Post with your answer to the question, "What is your favorite Cathay Pacific travel destination?" and tag a friend who you would want to take a trip with to submit your entry into the Giveaway during the Promotion Period. All comments and tags must be posted by the Instagram servers during the Promotion Period for a valid entry. By submitting an entry, you are confirming that you have read and agree to these Additional Rules and the General Rules.

Limit one entry per person by any method during the entire Promotion Period. Additional entries from the same person/Instagram account will be disqualified in Sponsor's sole discretion. The creation of additional Instagram accounts to create additional entries beyond this limit is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification of all entries from that person, in Sponsor's sole discretion.

SELECTION OF WINNERS: Sponsor will select three (3) winners in a random drawing held on or before Friday, November 21, 2025 from among all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The first winner drawn will be the Grand prize winner. The second winner drawn will be the 1st place prize winner. The third winner drawn will be the 2nd place prize winner. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: The potential winners will be notified by Sponsor via Instagram direct message on or before 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Instagram account that the potential winners utilized to enter the Giveaway. The potential winners must respond to the direct message providing a name and e-mail address within 72 hours of the direct message and must also sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability (where legal), within seven days following receipt in order to claim the Prize. If a potential winner does not timely respond to the direct message with the required information, or if a potential winner does not return the signed documentation (including all necessary releases as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) on a timely basis, or if any notification is returned as non-deliverable, or if a potential winner is found to be ineligible or not in full compliance with the Official General Rules and these Additional Rules, or if a potential winner declines the prize, then that potential winner will be disqualified, the potential winner slot will be forfeited, and Sponsor will randomly draw and notify another winner in order to fill the winner slot, time permitting. Sponsor reserves the right not to award a prize if it is unable to confirm a winner after three attempts.

PRIZE: Three (3) winners will each receive two (2) Cathay Pacific airline tickets as follows:

  • Grand prize winner will receive:
    Two (2) Cathay Pacific airline tickets in Business Class for one (1) winner and one (1) guest Departure from one of seven US gateways (LAX/SFO/SEA/DFW/ORD/JFK/BOS) to Hong Kong Prize estimated value: $18,000.00
  • 1st place prize winner will receive:
    Two (2) Cathay Pacific airline tickets in Premium Economy Class for one (1) winner and one (1) guest
    Departure from one of seven US gateways (LAX/SFO/SEA/DFW/ORD/JFK/BOS) to Hong Kong Prize estimated value: $5,000.00
  • 2nd place prize winner will receive:
    Two (2) Cathay Pacific airline tickets in Economy Class for one (1) winner and one (1) guest Departure from one of seven US gateways (LAX/SFO/SEA/DFW/ORD/JFK/BOS) to Hong Kong Prize estimated value: $3,500.00

The estimated total value for all Prizes is $26,500.00.

PRIZE TERMS: Prizes consist of airline tickets only. No cash in lieu of prize or ticket substitutions allowed. If any winner does not already have a Cathay Pacific member account, the winner will need to create an account as part of the confirmation process and provide those details to Sponsor. Each Cathay membership account is free, and is subject to all terms and conditions generally applicable thereto. Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes applicable to their prize. Winners and guests are solely responsible for all costs, fees, expenses, and other charges that are directly or indirectly related to the use of the airline tickets (e.g., travel costs such as connecting flights, baggage fees, ground transportation, parking, hotels, tips, souvenirs, meals, alcoholic beverages, phone or internet charges, insurance, passports and the like). Winner and guest will be solely responsible for obtaining a valid U.S. Government issued identification [including a valid US Passport with at least six (6) month validity] prior to travel and any associated costs for these requirements. Guests must sign and return a liability and publicity release at least ten days prior to booking flights.

TRAVEL TERMS: Travel is on Cathay Pacific-operated flights only with the destination being Hong Kong. Flights must be booked no later than January 31, 2026 and travel must occur on or before October 31, 2026. Sponsor may extend this date in its sole discretion upon written request prior to the January 31, 2026, booking deadline. Once TPG has confirmed each winner, Cathay Pacific will send a prize letter to the winners with instructions to complete a form to be shared with Cathay Pacific's reservations department for ticketing. The Seattle departure will be available upon the launch of that route, anticipated sometime in March 2026. Winner and guest accept all responsibility for ensuring that they follow each appropriate state and/or international guidelines and rules for travel to and from their destination, including but not limited to, guidelines and rules related to COVID-19. Company Entities and Partners are not responsible for any illness contracted or injury sustained by the winners' use of any prize. Please see the additional terms and limitations applicable to prizes in the General Rules.

COMPANY ENTITIES AND PARTNERS: For the avoidance of doubt, the term "Company Entities & Partners" used in the General Rules shall also mean to include Cathay Pacific Airways Limited ("Cathay Pacific") and Cathay Pacific's respective officers, directors, employees, and agents.

PRIVACY: Personal data will be processed by TPG in accordance with its Privacy Policy (as may be amended from time to time) located at https://thepointsguy.com/privacy-policy/.

WINNERS LIST: For the names of the winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to The Points Guy x Cathay Pacific Your Ticket to Hong Kong Giveaway Winners List, 1423 Red Ventures Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29707 within 45 days following the close of the Giveaway. Requests received after that date will not be processed. Allow 4-6 weeks following the receipt of the request or the close of the Promotion Period, whichever is later, for delivery of the list.
