Ethan Klapper

Ethan Klapper is a former senior aviation reporter at TPG who focused on the operational side of the airline industry. He joined TPG from Yahoo News in 2021, where he served as senior audience development editor, overseeing social media and audience development strategy. Prior to joining the Yahoo News team in 2018, Ethan worked at HuffPost.
Ethan attended American University in Washington, graduating with a double major in journalism and political science. Wanting to further his aviation studies, he later attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and received a master’s in aviation and aerospace operations. Ethan also holds an FAA aircraft dispatcher certificate.
Ethan, who is currently based in Houston, has been an #avgeek for as long as he can remember. As a kid growing up in Queens, his parents would take him to what was then called the USAir Terminal at LGA — today’s Terminal C, where he’d spend many an afternoon plane spotting.
