Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is about to land yet another new Oneworld alliance airline.

Royal Jordanian announced on Wednesday that it will begin nonstop service from DFW to Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman, Jordan, starting May 10, 2026. This marks the first time that travelers based in Texas will be able to fly nonstop to Jordan, and it'll also become Royal Jordanian's longest route.

At 7,036 miles, this new service surpasses the previous longest route for Royal Jordanian, which sat at 6,236 miles to Chicago, according to Cirium timetables.

Bargain hunting: When is the best time to book flights for the cheapest airfare?

The Jordanian flag carrier will operate the route four times per week on a year-round basis. Flights will be operated by a 270-seat Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, featuring 24 business-class seats and 246 economy seats. Note that business-class pods are arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration, making this one of the less appealing transatlantic configurations currently flying.

Eastbound flights will depart DFW at 10:55 p.m. and land the following evening at 8 p.m. The westbound service will also operate as a daytime flight, leaving AMM at 10:40 a.m. and landing at DFW at 5:05 p.m.

Flights are timed to optimize for connections in Amman to more than 50 destinations around the Middle East and beyond.

Notably, this new route will mark Royal Jordanian's fifth U.S. gateway after Chicago, Detroit, New York and the recently launched Washington, D.C., route.

DFW, which is the largest hub for hometown carrier American Airlines, has been working to grow its long-haul portfolio in recent years, especially among Oneworld alliance airlines that could bolster their presence with connections to American's domestic network.

Earlier this year, Cathay Pacific launched flights to DFW, joining other recently launched routes to DFW on Fiji Airways, Qantas and others in recent years.

"Welcoming Royal Jordanian to DFW is another exciting step in growing our global network," Chris McLaughlin, DFW's CEO, said in a statement. "This new nonstop connection to Amman is a first for North Texas and will expand our reach into the Middle East and further grow DFW's role as a key international gateway."

No saver award flights were available just hours after the airline announced the route, but that's likely to change — especially for economy redemptions — as the airline files more discounted fares and optimizes its revenue management algorithms for the new route.
