Centurion Lounges Giving Away Holiday Presents
Update: Some offers mentioned below are no longer available. View the current offers here: The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
As if being an American Express Platinum cardholder wasn't rewarding enough, American Express Centurion Lounges are giving a little something extra to their customers. In the return of what has become an annual tradition, Amex is celebrating the holidays by giving Centurion Lounge visitors presents to pack away in their bags. Or more likely, on their bags.
Reports first emerged Wednesday in the TPG Lounge, where TPG reader Reggie S. notes that he got a monogrammed leather luggage tag at the Miami (MIA) Centurion Lounge. Even better, the luggage tag is embedded with a Tile chip — letting Reggie track his bag via GPS.
According to Reddit user redtalun, the monogrammed tags are currently also being offered at the Centurion Lounge in San Francisco (SFO). On Friday evening, the Reddit user posted photos of the Tile luggage tag on Imgur:
However, if you're in SFO, it seems that you have a very limited time to get one — the Reddit user asked how long the gifts would be available at SFO and found that the monogrammer is headed to Seattle (SEA) this weekend to make tags at the Centurion Lounge there.
If you don't connect with the monogrammed bag tag maker, you still have a shot at getting a gift. Other Reddit users report that loose-leaf tea is being given away as a holiday gift in other lounges. One user reports this is the current gift in the Houston (IAH) Centurion Lounge, with another noting that loose-leaf tea was the gift in the SFO lounge just a couple of days ago.
So if you've got an American Express Platinum, Business Platinum Card from American Express, Centurion Card, or you're sporting a "Help Me: I Need Lounge Access" t-shirt and you get guested in, make sure to ask at the check-in desk about the current holiday gift for that lounge.
