As I said in a previous post earlier this month, I’ll be speaking at three upcoming events about maximizing miles and points, and on the nominations committee of The Freddies, so I wanted to personally invite TPG readers to each. I really enjoy meeting readers in person, and I could use your support, so please consider attending any or all of these events. There are a few updates about times and registration, so please read carefully to make sure you can attend any/all that you are interested in.

Also, just a reminder to vote in The Freddie Awards. The ceremony itself will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the Renaissance Newark Airport and I’ve arranged to get a table for TPG readers, so get ready for some ticket giveaways. You can cast your vote HERE.

Following the Freddies, from Friday-Sunday, April 27-29, 2012, there will be workshops on miles and points by the top experts and many chances to meet representatives from airline and hotel programs. Why the cheap venue? Come on TPG….I know you’re a Hyatt/SPG guy so why Holiday Inn?

    anyone have a promo code?

  • RakSiam

Oh boy. The event has been at the HI the last couple of years. I gather the reason is that they are the only ones willing to work with the organizers and offer a reasonable price. It is a decent space.

I am surprised about some of the Beginner/Advanced designations that seem reversed to me.

  • thepointsguy

Yea- they are supremely cheap and its a big space. Its not fancy, but this event is more about the information and people than the ambiance. And lets be real, most mileage junkies are cheapskates so it kinda makes sense!

  • CodeAdam10

LoL I thought it was just me. I agree.

    Hey Brian,

I don’t think Ben’s last name ends with a “pig”!

  • Srt8-blue

    Oops! I guess it does.

  • Spicy B

Are ticket giveaways the only way into the Freddies? It literally is less than 10 minutes away from work, and would love to go to the event.
