Don't worry, I'm not singing! But I am excited to present at SXSW Music on March 16 in a panel, "Getting the Most Bang for Your Touring Buck." I'm going to be talking with Tom Windish, president at The Windish Agency and a music industry icon, about tips for rewards travel for artists and their agents to use when booking tours. I'm so looking forward to combining with Tom to offer advice and explain the value of maximizing points and miles for artists when they're on tour either in the US or abroad.

Whereas you know my expertise is in the points and miles maximization industry, Tom knows all about what goes into booking concerts for artists all over the globe. His agency oversees the tours of many artists, ranging from Matt and Kim, Lykke Li and The xx to Lorde, Alt-J, M83 and Diplo, among others. Combined, we'll be discussing how artists and their managers can save money and best redeem points and miles for low-cost tour travel.

I'm so excited to be a part of this and to chat with the one and only Tom Windish. The talk will take place on Wednesday, March 16, from 3:30pm-4:30pm at the Austin Convention Center (531 E 4th St.), Room 17B. In order to get in to see Tom and me speak, you need to have a SXSW Music Badge, which costs $795 and gives you access to the music conference and festival (including keynote speakers, interviews, festival showcases and more), SXSW festival shuttle access, hotel priority booking and booking assistance, access to SXsocial, among much more. You can also access the event by purchasing a Platinum Badge, which costs $1,645 and gives you access to all three SXSW events (Music, Film and Interactive).

Also, as an added reason to go to SXSW this year, there will likely be a TPG reader meetup in Austin a day or so before I speak with Tom Windish (possibly March 14 or 15). So keep an eye out for more details regarding that coming soon. I can't wait for SXSW, and I hope to see you there!
