A palatial new Ritz-Carlton is open in Morocco — and you can book it from 70,000 Bonvoy points
Morocco has seen a slew of incredible hotel openings in the last few years — and now Marriott Bonvoy members have a new luxe option to book in the country's capital, Rabat.
Now open, The Ritz-Carlton Rabat, Dar Es Salam is a sprawling, palacelike hotel sitting in the middle of hundreds of acres of landscaped gardens, forest and the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam golf course.

This Bonvoy-participating hotel has 117 rooms and suites, starting with entry-level deluxe garden-view rooms with dedicated outdoor spaces, marble bathrooms, Asprey amenities and Frette linens. For more space, various suite configurations, including the two-bedroom, 1,937-square-foot Royal Suite, are also available.
Outside the rooms, guests will find themselves in a hotel that highlights the unique cultural and design traditions of Morocco. Exquisite details include Geb frescoes (they're made of gypsum) and domed muqarnas ceilings (also known as honeycomb vaulting) — they neatly complement the modern touches and signature service that the Ritz-Carlton brand is known for.

Dining at this new Ritz-Carlton includes all-day options at Mediterranean Brasserie, afternoon tea and bespoke cocktails at The Lobby Lounge, poolside tacos and ceviche at Palapa and a 1920s-inspired cocktail bar called Blind Tiger that harkens back to Prohibition.

At The Ritz-Carlton Spa, guests can relax in the saunas, hammams (also known as Moorish or Turkish baths) or Roman bath-inspired indoor pool flanked by white columns — you could also choose to get a luxury treatment using Espa and marocMaroc skin care products.
The hotel also has a 24-hour fitness center and tennis courts, as well as access to three golf courses and 45 holes at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.

But the real stunner at this Ritz-Carlton outpost is the expansive pool complex that's decorated with mosaics, lined with towering palm trees and surrounded by lounge chairs and cabanas.
