The Freddie Awards are kind of like the Academy Awards of loyalty programs, with all the major players in attendance and all the drama of the announcements as travelers from around the globe vote for their favorite hotel and airline programs. This year marks the awards' 25th anniversary, and to celebrate, I'll be bringing five lucky TPG readers with me.

The 2013 Freddies will take place on Thursday, April 25, at the Hilton McClean Tysons Corner in McLean, Virginia, outside Washington, DC. The evening is always a lot of fun, and a great chance to socialize with the brass of many of the loyalty programs we discuss daily here on TPG.

The events include a cocktail party from 5:30-7:00pm, the awards ceremony and dinner from 7:00-9:30pm and an after party until 10:30pm.

I have six tickets to attend, so I wanted to invite five TPG readers to come along with me for an evening of fun and travel talk.

In order to win, go to my Facebook page and leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite airline or hotel loyalty program and why, and the TPG team and I will pick five winners at random to attend with me. Only comments on my Facebook page will count as entries. We'll announce the winners by next Wednesday, April 17.

Please note: this giveaway will just be tickets to sit at my table at the award ceremony. I will not be providing any travel or accommodations, so you have to get yourself there and arrange your own stay or transportation home.
