Lufthansa debuted an interactive pop-up in NYC Sunday that transported guests back to a bygone era of travel.
The pop-up, held in Soho, featured crew members in original 1950s Lufthansa uniforms and augmented reality experiences that enabled guests to try an outfit out for themselves and see the airline’s iconic “Super Connie” Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation aircraft. Not only did the crew show up in authentic 50s gear, but the entire exhibit also showcased original artifacts from the era, including a replica of the carrier’s Senator Service cabin (what Lufthansa formerly called its first class) and a vintage terminal.
