Full non-refundable prepayment is required at time of booking. Canceled reservations and no shows will forfeit the full prepayment. The discount is off the Hyatt Daily Rate for the room type requested at time of booking. There are only a limited number of rooms allocated per property and there might be seasonal/holiday blackout dates.
I checked rates at one of Hyatt's top properties in Asia, the Park Hyatt Shanghai. Let's say you wanted to take a quick getaway over the July 4 holiday - with the flash sale, their standard rooms are starting at a very reasonable $225, compared to the normal Hyatt Daily Rate of $375.
If you're a Hyatt Diamond and have some suite upgrade certificates to burn, this could be a great way not only to save on regular room rates, but to get suites at a very significant discount. Note: the best Hyatt Visa offer is usually at hyatt.com when you go to make a reservation (logged out of your Gold Passport account) a box should populate with the 2 free nights plus a $50 statement credit.
Unfortunately some of the Hyatt properties I'm most exciting about in Asia Pacific like the Park Hyatt Sydney, Park Hyatt Tokyo and Park Hyatt Maldives aren't participating, but there are 29 properties that are participating throughout Asia, so if you have some travel coming up, your plans are set and you don't mind paying a non-refundable rates, you could take advantage of some great savings here and earn some elite night credits for your status (re)qualification for 2014.
