Thanks to a post on The Flight Deal, we've found some good economy airfare deals on US Airways and American from a few US cities to several Caribbean destinations with prices hovering around the $300 mark - some of the lowest fares we've ever seen lately! Most itineraries include a stop each way, either at US Airways' hub in Charlotte (CLT) or American's hub in Miami (MIA).

These deals are pricing out on the ITA Matrix for itineraries of up to 7 days (with blackout dates varying by destination) and for the following dates departing and returning to the US:

Departures: Until June 12, or August 11-December 17, 2014, or January-March, 2015
Returns: Until June 29, or August 24-December 31, 2014, or January-March, 2015

You could see sunset on Aruba's Eagle Beach for about $300

US departure cities included in these deals are:

Charlotte (CLT)
Dallas (DFW)
Houston (IAH)
Newark (EWR)
Philadelphia (PHL)

Caribbean destinations include:

Antigua (ANU)
Aruba (AUA)
Grand Cayman (GCM)
Grenada (GND)
Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ)
Nassau, Bahamas (NAS)
Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago (POS)
Providenciales, Turks and Caicos (PLS)
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ)
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (SDQ)
St. Barthelmy (SBH)
St. Lucia (UVF)
St. Maarten (SXM)

These screenshots show DFW-AUA (Antigua) from April 30-May 7 for $298 on US Airways with stops each way in CLT:

DFW-AUA on US Airways - April 30-May 7, 2014 - $298

Remember, you can't actually buy airfare on ITA, so here's same itinerary, DFW-CLT-AUA-CLT-DFW on April 30-May 7, 2014, found on American's site:

American with US Airways-operated planes - DFW-CLT-AUA-CLT-DFW - April 30-May 7, 2014 for $298

On ITA Matrix, we also found EWR-UVF (St. Lucia) - with stops each way in MIA - on American for $296 from September 3-11, 2014:

Via ITA Matrix - IAH-UVF from September 3-11, 2014 on American for $296 — Via ITA Matrix - EWR-MIA-UVF from September 3-11, 2014 on American for $296

And here that same itinerary - EWR-MIA-UVF from September 3-11, 2014 on American's site for $296.90:

EWR-MIA-UVF - September 3-11, 2014 on American for $296.90

We also found EWR-MBJ (Montego Bay), again with a stop each way in CLT, from May 7-14, 2014 for about $335 on US Airways. Here is that itinerary as found on ITA Matrix:

EWR-MBJ - May 7-14, 2014 on US Airways (as found on ITA Matrix) for $334.01

And here is that same EWR-MBJ itinerary, bookable on US Airways' site for $334:

EWR-MBJ - May 7-14, 2014 - found on US Airways' site for $335 — EWR-MBJ - May 7-14, 2014 - found on US Airways for $335

On ITA Matrix, we found an August 11-17, 2014 itinerary from IAH-ANU (Antigua) - with stops each way in MIA - on American for $336:

IAH-MIA-ANU on American from August 11-17, 2014 for $336 (found on ITA Matrix)

And here is that same IAH-MIA-ANU-MIA-IAH itinerary on American's site for the same $336:

IAH-MIA-ANU on American Airlines, August 11-17, 2014 for $336

Found on ITA Matrix, a May 14-21, 2014 itinerary from IAH-NAS (Nassau) - with stops each way in CLT - on US Airways costs $321:

IAH-NAS - May 14-21, 2014 on US Airways via ITA Matrix - $321

And here is that same IAH-CLT-NAS-CLT-IAH itinerary on US Airways' site for the same dates and the same $321:

IAH-NAS - May 14-21, 2014 - US Airways - $321

We had a lot of luck pricing out the airfares we found on the ITA Matrix on both AA.com and USAirways.com, so ITA's searches seem pretty accurate on this one. If you're interested, I would book immediately while these last.

Have you found any other great deals to the Caribbean on these carriers? We'd love to hear more from our readers so that everyone can share in this beach-and-palm-tree windfall!
