ExpertFlyer can be a fantastic asset when it comes to finding (and monitoring) award and upgrade availability, so having an airline play nice is a huge help to frequent flyers. Unfortunately, Delta has had an on/off relationship with ExpertFlyer over the years — the airline pulled upgrade inventory access followed by all data nearly two years ago, before slowly adding back in functionality, beginning with low-level award inventory last June.

For example, you can use ExpertFlyer to search for first class, business and economy award inventory:

Well, as of this week, even more functionality has returned. You can now access revenue inventory, broken down by individual fare class. Wondering if a certain flight has discount business or Comfort+ space for sale? Just complete a quick search on ExpertFlyer's site. You can set alerts for certain fare classes if you don't see what you're looking for right away. Here's what full inventory looks like, for JFK-LAX flights tomorrow:

Unfortunately it's still not possible to view upgrade availability, but hopefully that fare bucket will be making its way to ExpertFlyer soon!

Do you use ExpertFlyer to search for fare class availability?
