Our weekend series, "Favorite Places," features beloved travel destinations, attractions, restaurants, hotels and more from different members of the TPG team. Today, TPG Contributor Danielle Truglio gives us a glimpse of the memorable ABC Kitchen in New York City.

ABC Kitchen is located in downtown New York City in the ever-so-popular Union Square area. It is one of the most difficult places to get a reservation in NYC for a reason; this restaurant is the perfect combination of refined and trendy. The serene atmosphere and delicious menu do not disappoint.

Recently, I went to ABC Kitchen for dinner with some friends and had one of the most fabulous meals of my life. With the talented Jean-Georges overseeing the menu, the food is promising from beginning to end. ABC Kitchen prides itself in its association with the farm-to-table movement. The menu is free of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, antibiotics and hormones, and is GMO-free. Moreover, you can easily earn double points for your meal by paying with the Chase Sapphire Preferred card.

Apart from the delicious menu items pictured above, some of my other favorites include the crab toast with lemon aioli; the tomatoes, mozzarella and basil whole wheat pizza; the kale salad with lemon, serrano chilies and mint; and the sundae with salted caramel ice cream, candied peanuts and popcorn.

Due to high demand, making a reservation two to three in advance is recommended, so be sure to plan ahead if you'd like to stop by on your next trip to NYC!
