This astounding 5-continent cruise costs $76,000 for the cheapest cabins
We're still in 2025, but Silversea Cruises is giving cruisers plenty of time to plan for the line's 2028 world voyage. With a price tag of over $76,000 per person for the least expensive accommodations, it's likely a trip for which most passengers would need a bit of a heads-up.
The 132-night journey on Silver Shadow, sailing from Miami to Nice, France, from Jan. 5 to May 16, 2028, will include 58 ports in 29 countries and 30 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Here's what else you need to know about this epic sailing.
Note: Prices listed are accurate at the time of publication but are subject to change. They're based on double occupancy (two people per cabin).
Voyage highlights

This cruise will visit five of the world's seven continents — North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Europe. The itinerary will also include calls on several Caribbean islands, a Panama Canal transit and visits to Chile, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, India, Oman, Qatar, Egypt, Greece, Italy, France and more than a dozen other countries.
Additionally, the sailing features 17 overnights and opportunities to visit 30 UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Rio de Janeiro's Carioca Landscapes in Brazil; the Historic Quarter in Valparaiso, Chile; the Acropolis in Athens, Greece; and Pisa's Piazza del Duomo and Florence's historic city center, both in Italy.
Pricing
The ship's five most expensive suite types are already waitlisted, even though the sailing is still nearly three years away. Cabins in categories currently available for the full voyage range from $76,500 per person for an oceanview room to $99,500 per person for deluxe veranda digs under Silversea's Port-to-Port option. (The line's Door-to-Door option costs extra. See the "What's included" section below for details.)
Segments
If your schedule or wallet won't allow you to cruise for nearly 4 1/2 months straight, Silversea has broken its latest world cruise into nine segments, ranging in length from 10 nights (from about $5,000 per person for an oceanview cabin with the Port-to-Port option) to 19 nights (from about $7,750 per person for oceanview accommodations with the Port-to-Port option).
Segments include:
- Miami to Cartagena, Colombia, from Jan. 5 to 15, 2028
- Cartagena to Valparaiso, Chile, from Jan. 15 to 29, 2028
- Valparaiso to Buenos Aires, Argentina, from Jan. 29 to Feb. 15, 2028
- Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro, from Feb. 15 to 27, 2028
- Rio de Janeiro to Cape Town, from Feb. 27 to March 17, 2028
- Cape Town to Mahe, Seychelles, from March 17 to April 2, 2028
- Mahe to Dubai, from April 2 to 19, 2028
- Dubai to Athens, Greece, from April 19 to May 6, 2028
- Athens to Nice, France, from May 6 to 16, 2028
Consecutive individual segments can be combined to form longer sailings that are still shorter than the full world cruise, allowing passengers more flexibility with the overall itinerary.
What's included
All Port-to-Port fares for the full sailing include a one-night precruise hotel stay with dinner, all meals and drinks on board, one free shore excursion per day, butler and laundry services, free premium Wi-Fi for up to two devices per person and $1,000 onboard credit per cabin ($500 per person).
Door-to-Door fares encompass the above, plus round-trip business-class airfare from select cities and private executive transfers of up to 50 miles each way between home and the airport.
