Looking for another way to redeem your Membership Rewards points? Well, you're in luck! Amex's points program just got another partner this week with the introduction of a new redemption option through Airbnb, in addition to the gift card redemptions Amex introduced last year.

Amex cardholders will now be able to integrate Membership Rewards accounts with their Airbnb profiles. You'll be able to log into Airbnb using your Amex login credentials and redeem Membership Reward points for Airbnb stays.

A sample booking for a $22 stay in Santiago, Chile.

Unfortunately you're not going to get a great return when using your Membership Rewards points for Airbnb stays. When checking out, you can now input how many points you'd like to apply to the booking — up to the full amount of the stay. Ultimately, you'll receive much less than 1 cent per point in value (as you can see above), which is pretty terrible considering TPG's 1.9 cents-per-point valuation — you'll be better off saving up for Amex's far better redemption options.

You can get $50 back when you spend $100 on Airbnb with Amex.

What's especially appealing about this partnership is a new promotion from Amex Offers, earning you a $50 statement credit after spending $100 through the end of the year. As always, there are a few rules for the promotion, so check out the full offer for T&Cs. If you think you might be able to take advantage, be sure to register ASAP!
