Quick summary

The Big Apple is once again rolling out the red carpet for the millions of people who will pour into the city during the month of June for Pride festivities, and TPG has some great tips on where to stay using your hotel points if you plan to attend. (And, how to celebrate WorldPride 2019 in New York with your kids.)

Started in 1970 as a one-day civil rights demonstration, NYC Pride has continued to grow and to celebrate the diversity of the LGBTQ community. This year marks an especially important milestone, as NYC Pride is teaming up with WorldPride to mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising and five decades of LGBTQ liberation.

There will be more than 50 Pride events during the month of June in New York City, including parties, lectures, theater production, family movies, youth rallies and comedy shows. NYC Pride will culminate on June 30, 2019 with one of the biggest, brashest, most deliciously fun Pride parades in the world, which will step off at noon from 26th Street and 5th Avenue.
