Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

This evening we're seeing a smattering of deals on low-cost carriers from the US to European destinations such as Barcelona (BCN), Paris (CDG) and Copenhagen (CPH). The best part: they're all nonstop flights. Now the down side: since these options are on low-cost carriers, you're going to want to consider the "all-in" cost before you actually book your flight.

To book, head to Google Flights and plug in your desired departure city. After finding dates that work best for you, book with the airline directly or with an OTA such as Expedia or Priceline. If you want to price in the cost of a carry-on bag, use Google Flights’ newest feature to create an apples-to-apples comparison.
