Don't wait: Fly Delta Air Lines to Rome or Dublin for as few as 22,100 SkyMiles round-trip
Delta Air Lines has some incredibly low award flights available to Europe right now. You can book nonstop flights to Rome or Dublin from New York City for only 26,000 SkyMiles round-trip. That's ridiculously low for a transatlantic ticket to these two major European hubs.
Even better, if you have a Delta American Express card, you can book the same itinerary for just 22,100 miles because Delta cardholders save 15% on award bookings. This deal is for economy flights out of New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). We found great availability from December through February at these rates, but if you're interested, you should jump on this now.

While not quite as cheap, we also found some dates from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Miami International Airport (MIA) for as low as 41,000 miles, so it's worth searching around.
We first heard about this deal from Thrifty Traveler's Premium flight deal service.

Log in to your SkyMiles account on the Delta website and search for your desired flight — in this case, JFK to Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO). Then, click the Price Calendar tab to see the lowest available prices. The screenshot below shows you the availability for this deal in late February and early March.

This itinerary from JFK to FCO in late February is available for 26,000 SkyMiles and about $70 in taxes and fees. Booking with a Delta cobranded American Express card saves you an additional 3,900 points

The January/February price calendar shows all the options for the lowest award rate.

Here's a January round-trip from the Big Apple to the Ancient City, again for only 26,000 points and $70 in taxes and fees.

If you're thinking of traveling to Europe for the holidays, you can find this superb rate in December, too. And just to reiterate, using a Delta cobranded card means you'll only use 22,100 SkyMile points.

Dublin flights from JFK were also pricing with big discounts. The best prices were in November, but there were good deals through spring 2026.
Bottom line
This is one of those absurd deals that you'll be kicking yourself for not booking. Round-trip flights to Italy or Ireland — and nonstop flights at that — for less than 30,000 SkyMiles don't happen often, especially using Delta miles. So, take advantage of this rare opportunity.
