American Express has launched another Delta Air Lines targeted Amex Offer.
This offer lets targeted cardholders get 6,000 American Express Membership Rewards points after purchasing a $300 or higher Delta gift card. This offer was first reported by Miles to Memories.
At TPG, we see this offer on cards like The Platinum Card® from American Express and American Express® Gold Card. However, reports indicate that some American Express cardholders may also find this offer on their Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express cards. You might also find it on other American Express cards.

Here's a closer look at the terms of the Amex Offer:
The offer is valid online only on the U.S. website delta.com/giftcards/amex for e-gift cards and physical gift cards purchased in U.S. dollars.
- Enrollment is required before you buy your gift card.
- You must purchase your gift card by Nov. 27, 2022, but the flight(s) can be for after that date.
- A single gift card purchase equal to or greater than $300 will trigger the 6,000 Membership Rewards points bonus.
TPG values American Express Rewards points at 2 cents apiece, so you're effectively getting $120 in Amex points by purchasing a $300 Delta gift card. That's like getting 40% off a $300 flight.
For frequent Delta flyers, that's a nice bonus by going through the extra steps of adding the offer to your card and purchasing an e-gift card with instantaneous delivery.
