Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency such as Orbitz or Expedia, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. However, if you’re using The Platinum Card® from American Express, you’ll need to book directly with the airline or through the Amex Travel portal to get 5x MR points. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz or Expedia’s courtesy cancellation if you’re unable to get the time away from work or family.

The new and improved Air Italy, the airline formerly known as Meridiana, is currently offering flights from New York (JFK) to Italian cities Rome (FCO), Milan (MXP) and Naples (NAP) from $371 round-trip.

The lowest fares can be found for travel to Rome (FCO) and are available for departures from late October to March 2019. Do note that the discounted fares are for Economy Light, which does not include checked baggage in the cost of the ticket. However, you will still be eligible for web check-in, can collect British Airways Avios, and unlike on low-cost carriers, will be served free food and drinks.

To find these low fares, head to Google Flights and plug in your desired departure and destination cities. After finding the dates that work best for you, book directly with Air Italy or with an OTA such as Expedia or Priceline.
