Airfare deals are typically only available on limited dates. We recommend that you use Google Flights to find dates to fly, then book through an online travel agency, such as Orbitz, which allows you to cancel flights without penalty by 11pm Eastern Time within one day of booking. In this case, however, you'll need to search through Google and book on Norwegian's site. Remember: Fares may disappear quickly, so book right away and take advantage of Orbitz's courtesy cancellation if you're unable to travel.
Budget airline Norwegian Air once again has cheap nonstop flights from New York (JFK) to Scandinavia for travel at the end of 2016. The airline is offering fares from around $269 round-trip to Oslo (OSL), as well as some similarly priced fares to nearby Stockholm (ARN). Norwegian's flights are among the cheapest from the US to mainland Europe, and you'll even be able to fly on the airline's Dreamliner as you across the pond.
Keep in mind that you can also save extra money on Norwegian flights by purchasing your ticket through the Norwegian version of the site (accessed by changing your language to "Norge" at the bottom of the home page). Remember that Norwegian is a budget airline, so you might have to pay extra fees for benefits usually included by other airlines.
